What happens when you begin to take a deeper look at your dis-ease? And what comes up for you when you start to ask some deeper questions of your illness? Not the "why me?" or "how long will this last?", but the really BIG questions. One of my healers asked me recently :: What do you love about your illness? My very first instinct was to get up and walk out. Here I am fighting for my life, spending every day dedicated to detoxing + protocols, seeking out all the top notch doctors + practitioners around the world for guidance, 100% diligent in all my practices, giving absolutely everything of myself just to get well again and to resume my life and dive back into my purpose....and you're asking me what I love about being sick?
FUCK OFF. How could you? I was offended. Off the charts, mind blown, offended.
But really, truly, when you stop and process it...
it. is. a. brilliant. question and one that can also unlock the reason that you may not be healing at a faster pace. One that also comes with perhaps very surprising answers that your subconscious has always known, but your conscious mind is just waking up to.
Illness can unite people in a very deep way. Illness gives you boundaries that maybe you were not able to have prior. Illness allows you to say NO without feeling guilty. Illness can bring some really beautiful people into your life that you may not have met otherwise. Illness can bring you attention that perhaps you were craving or feeling deprived of. Those were some of the big discoveries for me.
Now it is time to ask yourself, what do YOU LOVE about your dis-ease or illness?
