PAIN :: A RELIEF GUIDE

Over the last weeks I've been enduring a bit of a relapse with my Lyme Disease, and along with it an increase in my pain symptoms.  Anyone dealing with Lyme knows that a relapse can come from completely out of no where, have no pattern, and no end in sight.  In the early stages of learning about this illness I would bounce around frantically from treatments and protocols, beyond desperate for relief.  These days, after much trial and error I have found what works best for me and I have a literal list + plan of healing that I turn to, both internally and externally, that help to bring some comfort and ease during flare ups. 

CLEAN EATING :: this is always step one for me.  I take a deeper look at what I'm consuming, being very honest, also taking note of bites and snacks and samples, and make sure that, for me, there is no gluten, dairy, and sugar. 

MOVEMENT :: one of the most challenging pieces when you are experiencing intense pain.  However absolutely one of the most effective.  Moving toxic lymph, increasing circulation, filtering stagnant waste is crucial for alleviating pain.  I do love the ease of having my rebounder handy, even if it's just for a 5 minute bounce, cells have been adjusted and jostled and set anew. 

TURMERIC :: a must have in your daily supplement arsenal.  Turmeric is a powerhouse of an anti-inflammatory and also enhances digestive function, restores healthy villi and lymphatic flow | supports gallbladder function and increases bile flow | bile flow in the gut is the intestine’s first immune responder against infection |  similar to Vit D 3, decreases immune compromising cytokines (molecular messengers between cells) that cause lymphatic congestion and a sluggish immune response.

CBD OIL :: this has quite literally saved my life.  More about this on this Friday.....

BIOMAT :: to be clear, this is an investment piece, but one that I use daily for pain relief, and simply can not live without.  I use the mini and find that it really works well for my entire body.  I actually like it better than the full size as I can move it to various areas really easily.  Another amazing component to the Biomat technology is its use of the highly conductive mineral Amethyst.  “The BioMat stimulates ion channels by producing negative ions that deliver energy to the cells of the body.  The topmost layer of the BioMat is constructed of superconducting channels of pure amethyst, which allow the far infrared rays and negative ions to penetrate the body as far as seven inches.”  Far Infrared Rays (FIR) are energy waves similar to the frequency of natural sunlight but without the harmful UV/UVB radiation.  These waves are invisible to the naked eye, but capable of penetrating deep into the body, which is felt as radiant heat.  This radiant heat gently elevates our core body temperature by 2 to 3 degrees fahrenheit acting as an induced fever which stimulates the body to begin to thermo-regulate itself by producing sweat.   The process of sweating is immensely healing on so many levels.  It opens our capillaries resulting in increased circulation, forcing accumulated toxins to move out of the body.  It stimulates our immune system function.  As microorganisms despise heat, the healing waves and increase in body temperature can kill infections, viruses, and bacteria, including the Lyme Spirochete.

COFFEE ENEMAS :: a great deal of stress is placed upon the liver during times of severe detoxification and a build up in the liver can lead to major issues with pain. Coffee enemas increase the liver's ability to filter and remove toxins.  Certain substances in the coffee stimulate an important detoxification enzyme in the liver as well as dilate the bile ducts and increase the flow of bile.

BATH GUIDE :: detox baths have been a major player in my healing.  My body's ability to detoxify on its own has been greatly diminished by having Lyme Disease, as well as having the MTHFR gene (another complicated post).  For this reason, I rely heavily on daily wellness practices like dry brushing, Far Infrared Saunas, liver flushes, drinking alkaline water, and exercise that induces a good, proper sweat. I tailor my baths to exactly what my body is needing that day, whether that may be simple relaxation, a highly effective pain reliever, a good sweat release, or a deeper cellular detoxification. 

 JIVA APOHA PARUTKA JOINT OIL :: I love to use this beautiful oil infused with Turmeric and Marjoram to help fight inflammation during my self massage.  It is also warming and increases circulation.  The scents of Lemongrass and Eucalyptus are stimulating, refreshing and up-lifting.

CRYSTAL HEALING :: the laying of certain crystals on various body parts can be very effective at reducing pain levels.  Amethyst, as utilized in the BioMat above, can be used for arthritic pain.  Clear Quartz helps to draw out infection and reduce inflammation.  Rose Quartz helps to tame inflammation.  Smokey Quartz draws out pain and releases negative emotions that might be causing physical pain.  Aquamarine can bring a soothing energy + gentle release to a tight or inflamed area.  Black Tourmaline is a wonderful Root Chakra stone that can help provide pain relief and draw out negative energies. 

GUIDED MEDITATION :: I utilize this daily meditation as a part of my daily practice.  And find it so helpful and it is incredibly effective at neutralizing the sharp stabbing sensations, along with the dull aches that I tend to feel throughout my body all the time.  I highly encourage you to give it a try.
