SHARE WITH US A BIT ABOUT YOUR JOURNEY TO THE WELLNESS + HEALING WORLD.
Everything unveiled itself when I began the journey to heal myself and figure out what I was meant to do in my lifetime. I was introduced to reiki by a therapist that changed my life, and later befriended two amazing women. One was really into non-toxic everyday items and one was into raw foods. And that is how it all started for me, in a nutshell. And what I do now, it’s not just my work, it’s how I live.
WERE YOU INTRODUCED TO IT AT A YOUNG AGE OR COME ACROSS IT LATER IN LIFE?
It was a bit later in life, I was 24 when both the confusion and healing began to take place. Sometimes we don’t realize we are in full mode healing as it is happening. The process can be painful at times.
DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY.
A lazy overcast day, naked, eating in bed, with a lover (or myself) and listening to chill music.
WHAT IS A TYPICAL BREAKFAST? LUNCH? DINNER? SNACK?
B | an antioxidant rich berry smoothie with seeds, some maca, spirulina, raw acai and whatever else I am in the mood for. I drink a lot of water and herbal medicine in the morning so I don’t do a typical breakfast. I generally eat when I am hungry and I always have a healthy snack in my bag, usually fruit or dates. Never know when hunger strikes!
L | quinoa and I’ll mix that up with different veggies like grated beets, carrots, steamed kale, seeds, a lot of olive oil, always turmeric and salt. I like everything super spicy but I am cutting back at the moment. In the summer I like to add raw feta cheese, and I usually eat this throughout my day.
D | I get so lazy by the time dinner comes around after my long marathon day is over. Sometimes I will eat fruit with hemp seeds, or some dates with a little raw butter or make frittata. I will add chopped kale, onions, garlic and cherry tomatoes and let it all bake in the oven while I transition into my night groove and slowly wind down. I love making mussels as well. Whatever takes little time to prepare and is light.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BEVERAGE?
I really enjoy freshly pressed juice. Right now I am all about watermelon, and I juice it myself. In the summer I like to make an herbal tea, served cool for my morning commute, like rooibos and mint from my garden. I love herbal teas.
WHAT IS YOUR ABSOLUTE FAVORITE INDULGENCE?
WHAT WOULD YOUR LAST MEAL ON EARTH BE?
I just asked someone this question. Pizza! I absolutely love pizza pomodoro! I hope my last meal comes with a dessert like a warm apple something with vanilla ice cream.
DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE MEAL OR RECIPE THAT YOU'D LIKE TO SHARE WITH US?
RED CABBAGE SALAD W TAHINI DRESSING
DRESSING INGREDIENTS | Tahini | Water | Honey | Salt | Pepper | Turmeric | 2 lemons | 2 cloves garlic
DIRECTIONS | Juice your lemons in a small bowl and add about 4 tbs of tahini and mix | Then add water (a little at time) until you have a consistency you are happy with | Add 1 tbs of honey to balance out the tang in the lemon | Add your minced garlic, 2 tsp of turmeric and your salt & pepper | Mix again and pour onto your chopped cabbage | I like to let everything sit for about an hour or so then serve | I never measure when I cook, so don’t marry my measurements
WHERE IS/ARE YOUR MOST FAVORITE PLACE/S TO BE ON THIS EARTH?
Somewhere near the ocean. I feel most free in nature. I lived in Hawaii for one month, and that place is pure magic.
WHO OR WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
Beauty and kindness in people, their smile, their story, it makes me want to be a good person and not let everyday trivial objections get in the way of my peace. Pain also inspires me. It helps me elevate to a higher level, to make positive changes.
WHAT DAILY RITUALS ARE NON-NEGOTIABLES FOR YOU TO HELP KEEP YOU BALANCED + CENTERED?
I always start my morning with a 20oz glass of water with fresh lemon or herbal vinegar. And I do 15 minutes of pranayama, yoga asana and dance just to wake up my body. I had a solid mediation practice but these days, it’s not consistent. I also have affirmations that I like to set for each day.

WHAT DO YOU DO TO RELAX? DO YOU HAVE A DAILY PRACTICE?
Watching a film at home or going for a bike ride truly relax me. I aim to move my body everyday to stay in shape and release stress. On my lazy days and in the summer time, I love walking home when my day is finished.
